Constitution

  1. The name of the Non-Profit Corporation is “Asia Pacific CEO Association of Canada” and is hereinafter referred to as the “Non-Profit Corporation”.
  2. The purposes of the Non-Profit Corporation are to:
    1. Provide a regularly scheduled forum for senior executives to exchange information, ideas and challenges with regard to Asia Pacific business opportunities.
    2. Establish an alliance with all key business associations and work together sharing information with regard to Asia Pacific business opportunities.
    3. Identify the true challenges and tangible benefits of a Canada - Asia Pacific business partnership.
    4. Utilize an untapped resource of knowledge and business experience of business men and women who have immigrated to Canada.
    5. Link small and medium size companies who want to do business with Asian countries with qualified members.
    6. Communicate with all three levels of government and continue to share information to contribute to enhance the support of the continuous refinement of the provincial & federal government Trade Agreements with Asia Pacific countries.

  3. The above purposes of the Non-Profit Corporation shall be carried out without intent of gain. Any profits or other accretions to the Non-Profit Corporation shall be used for promoting its purposes.
  4. No Director or Officer shall be remunerated for being or acting as a Director or Officer, but a Director or Officer may be reimbursed for all expenses necessarily and reasonably incurred while engaged in the affairs of the Non-Profit Corporation.
  5. Paragraphs 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Constitution are alterable in accordance with the Canada Corporations Act.
